about

(Vidal-Naquet, 2001, pp. 78-79)
No”l FavreliËre tells the story of the death of a 7- or 8-year-old girl in 1956 during an operation in Algeria.
In the distance, a bush is moving, the captain orders to open fire. The child dies a few minutes later in the shooter's arms.

lyrics

Sweet little girl, a white dress came out of the bush, running scared towards her village.
Some men, fired at will, but she kept on running.
The captain then turned to the sniper: "10$ you can't shoot it down”.
Shoot it! Shoot it!
He fired. The white stain stopped. She rolled down the hill.

Sweet little girl, a white dress came out of the bush, running scared towards her village.
Some men, fired at will, but she kept on running.
He fired. The white stain stopped. She rolled down the hill.
I saw this guy a few days later, some say he's gone crazy.
At war, you always lose something, sometimes you lose your own self.
